Infection bulletin December 2025

An increase in the number of clients and patients with respiratory infections has been clearly noticeable in our clinics in recent weeks.

In line with the practice of previous years, it is possible to issue a sick leave certificate for a maximum of five (5) days in Finland starting from 2nd December 2025 and continuing throughout the epidemic period.

In the case of recent infections, we recommend that you utilize our remote services to slow the spread of infections, if possible. In the case of symptoms of respiratory tract infection whilst visiting our local clinics, the use of a mask is also recommended for the patient.

In addition, we encourage you to utilize sick leave with the permission of your superior, if such a model is in use in your company, and the employee does not have a health need to contact occupational health care.

Ways to protect yourself from respiratory infections:

  • Get recommended vaccinations – they are the best way to protect yourself from serious illness
  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Keep your hands clean and cough into your sleeve, for example
  • Wear a mask if necessary and keep your distance (personal risk assessment)
  • Ensure adequate ventilation

Influenza vaccines

Influenza vaccines are available through occupational health care, and if necessary, we can arrange for a nurse to visit your company to administer the vaccine.
